These are pictures taken on my last trip to Washington, D.C.
As a history buff, especially of the Civil War, I always come home with a camera full.
My oldest son is also a history buff and loves studying the Civil War. He hopes to one day serve in the military and has been inspired by the stories of heroes of the past.
There are so many inspiring stories – - my husband and I never make it very far when we travel back there because we are reading every single inscription on every single monument! Two of my sons chose the military route – - very proud of them. Best wishes to your son. It is a noble, worthwhile goal:)

I love those old stone walls – I was mesmerized by the ones I saw in Scotland. Great entry!
Thank you
They are amazing

I like those old stone walls – built in decades, when they had more time than hectic us …
I agree – - I’m just amazed at what they could do without all the equipment of the modern day.
History is full of wonderful stories. Of triumphs and loss. Beautiful photos that takes us back in time. Inspiring narratives. Thanks.
Love the study of history – - just need to have less war and more beautifully built stone walls. Thanks so much for commenting.
